One of the original copies of the Declaration of Independence is available for viewing at the Minnesota History Center. The pertinent information can be found here. Make a day of it. The Minnesota History Center is an impressive building with great architecture. A museum of Minnesota history is located on third floor. There is a gift shop and book store on the first floor. The History Center has a great library on Minnesota and US history. You can get a great view of the Capitol from the lobby of the library. Stop and dine at the eatery on first floor.
