One of the original copies of the Declaration of Independence is available for viewing at the Minnesota History Center. The pertinent information can be found here. This is a rare opportunity to tie ourselves visually and experientially to our roots in history. You can give your children and/or grandchildren a grand lesson in freedom.
Make a day of it. The Minnesota History Center is an impressive building with great architecture. A museum of Minnesota history is located on third floor. There is a gift shop and book store on the first floor. The History Center has a great library on Minnesota and US history. You can get a great view of the Capitol from the lobby of the library. Stop and dine at the eatery on first floor.
You and your family will remember the day with great enjoyment.
